Counselling for Trainee Counsellors/Therapists

Introduction call (optional)

Before booking a paid session, you are welcome to schedule a free, 15-minute telephone introduction call. This is a great opportunity for us to briefly discuss what you're looking for in therapy and for you to ask any questions about how I work.

This call is completely free, with no obligation to continue. If you're ready to book without an introduction call, you can do that too—whichever you prefer.

To arrange a call, please contact me directly. Please note that I do not offer in-person introduction consultation; they are exclusively by telephone. All subsequent sessions are paid.

Counselling for Trainee Counsellors/Therapists

Many counselling courses require a certain amount of personal therapy. This can be a significant financial commitment and is often a requirement for qualification.

I offer both online and face-to-face sessions to provide flexibility. I also provide a discounted student rate for trainees until they complete their course.

Important Note: Please check with your college or training provider regarding their specific requirements for personal therapy hours, including the required format (online or in-person) and frequency.

Key points
• I offer a confidential and safe place for trainees to work on themselves with a discounted student rate until they complete their course.

• Accessibility: The office building is secure with CCTV. It has a bathroom available and is wheelchair accessible.

• Parking: Free on-site parking is available. I recommend arriving with a little extra time to find a space, as parking is subject to availability.

How it works
All in-person sessions must be pre-booked. Once we have agreed on a day and time, I will provide you with all the details you need to find my office, including the full address and any access information. We will meet at my office in Weymouth, Dorset, where you will have a confidential and secure space for our session.

Availability

All appointments are subject to availability.
I am available for sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during the following times:
• Daytime: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Evenings: from 5:00 p.m. onwards

Please note that I respond to emails during working hours on the above days and services are closed on Tuesdays and Sundays. I am not available to respond to emails in the evenings after 5 p.m., on Tuesdays, or on Sundays.

Session frequency

We can discuss what frequency works best for you. I offer both weekly and bi-weekly sessions.

For consistency and to help build a strong therapeutic relationship, I generally recommend starting with weekly sessions. However, I am flexible and happy to begin with fortnightly sessions if that better suits your needs.

If possible, it's best to agree on a regular day and time for your sessions. If you have a busy or changing schedule, I also offer flexible session slots. This means we can arrange a time that works for you one or two weeks in advance.

Fees and Payment

Each counselling session is 50 minutes long. The discounted rate for each session is £40.

• Payment is required 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session.

• The preferred method of payment is a secure bank transfer (BACS).

• Payment via PayPal can also be arranged upon request.

• Please note that I do not accept cash payments.

Full details for bank transfers will be provided in your counselling paperwork once we agree on a first session.
